I grew up in a small country
town, a little place called Essex Junction, Vermont. Ever since I
can remember music has always been a big part of my life. In fact,
from the moment I was brought home from the hospital my mom and dad
fired up the old record player and kept it spinning. Looking back
now growing up as a boy I was always surrounded by either the radio,
or record player hearing greats like Hank Williams, Willie Nelson,
Patsy Cline, Charley Daniels, Eagles and Elvis Presley. Like every
"All American Boy" I played football, baseball, rode dirt
bikes with all my friends in the neighborhood and went hunting and
fishing with my dad.
I can remember when I was five years old, my parents bought me
my first drum set and from there I went to fiddle, piano and then
eventually onto the guitar. I've always had a passion for making
up my own songs. At age thirteen I played my first piano recital
while the other kids were playing Bach, Mozart and Chopin, I hauled
in my three keyboards and a drum machine and played my own songs.
At age fourteen I put my first band together and later that summer
I played my first show at the county fair. When most kids my age
were going to parties and high school dances I found myself playing
at them. Eventually I graduated to bars, colleges and clubs. I was
on the road full time by the age of sixteen, man it was rough coming
in at four in the morning after playing a gig all night and then
having to get up for school by seven. Over the next couple of years
I found myself on many musical journeys. My love for country music
and passion for songwriting and performing led me to Nashville early
last year.
The songs on my up and coming album are a collection of my experiences
and memories throughout my life. I hope they find their way into
your heart and take you back to a special time in your life.
I truly believe you have to experience life to have a passion in
your songwriting I look forward to meeting and hearing about your
life and your experiences. See you out on the road soon!
